Why is Tears of the Kingdom so hard?
Why is Tears of the Kingdom so complicated? The "difficulty" comes from the laughable vast inconsistency in damage dealt by enemies you'll randomly come across while exploring. Some will deal a quarter of a heart of damage, some will just casually one-shot you.
Tears of the Kingdom is a ruthless game when it comes to health. Many of the new enemies within the game will defeat Link in one hit, something that only a few enemies could do in Breath of the Wild. This adds a harder element to the game, however, the real difficulty in terms of health is the gloom.
This overwhelming feeling and lack of direction make the game pretty challenging, as it is hard to keep up with all the things there is to do in Tears of the Kingdom. There is so much to do to obtain 100%, including 1,000 Korok Seeds.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has no official difficulty setting, much like its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Between these two open world RPGs, Elden Ring does a better job of making its side quests feel truly optional, rather than a chore players must complete. Unlike Tears of the Kingdom, players don't have to worry about weapon durability or stocking up on copies of their favorite weapon type.
More information was revealed in the Nintendo Direct presentation held in September 2022, including the title Tears of the Kingdom and a release date of May 12, 2023.
Despite the finality of Tears of the Kingdom's ending, the success of the Zelda series and the game itself makes it highly unlikely that it will be the end of the franchise. Expectations for future games and a new console release suggest that the Zelda series will continue beyond Totk.
Just about every guide on the best items to sell in TOTK suggests collecting the rare ores found in golden ore deposits across Hyrule. The list of rare ores includes opals (30 rupees), topazes (80), sapphires (110), rubies (150), and diamonds (500).
In an emailed response, Aonuma wrote that in Tears of the Kingdom, "we were able to implement all of the elements that we wanted to achieve in this world and this story, so there will not be any DLC. Please continue to enjoy the vast world of Hyrule."

Progressing northwest will pass several Stables, all of which contribute to various Side Adventures. This path eventually culminates in Rito Village, followed by the recommended first dungeon. After all that, players should be ready to explore the rest of Tears of the Kingdom.
Is Tears of the Kingdom bigger than Breath of the Wild?
Based on all of this information, Tears of the Kingdom is clearly bigger. There are two additional layers of Hyrule to explore, with the Depths being the size of the full surface map. With more nooks and crannies to explore on the surface, the game is over twice as large as Breath of the Wild in terms of content.
The sequel improves on the flaws of Breath of the Wild, such as the irritating rain, long load times, and limited travel options, while offering a more hopeful and adventurous narrative. The game also introduces more intricate side quests and visually stunning graphics.

While it's not absolutely necessary, I would still recommend playing Breath of the Wild first.
Grand Theft Auto 5, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are all examples of open-world games that have larger maps than Elden Ring.
Tears of the Kingdom is a fantastic game, full of new features, and the in-world experiences are satisfying. The gameplay surpasses the experience you may have playing Breath of the Wild. You can spend countless hours building stuff to help you explore or solve puzzles. The possibilities are infinite.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom outsells Elden Ring, equals Pokemon sales in its first three days. The follow-up to Breath of the Wild is doing exceptionally well.
The CEO and founder of Grasshopper Manufacture, creator of No More Heroes 3 among many other video games, proudly tweeted that he had managed to get 100% completion of Tears of the Kingdom in “his long summer vacation”. As if that were not enough, he also commented that he obtained the 1,000 Korok Seeds.
So Link is about 123 - 127 years old in Tears of the Kingdom. Aragorn is 87 years old during the events of The Lord of the Rings, so youthful, but aged swordsmen abound in fantasy.
In total, there are 152 Shrines in Tears of the Kingdom. The surface of Hyrule contains 120 of them, and the last 32 are scattered about the Sky Islands high overhead. The majority of them contain physics puzzles of varying difficulties.
Is the Triforce in Tears of the Kingdom?
Notably, the Triforce does not appear when Zelda uses magic in Tears of the Kingdom. However, this does not mean that the artifact is not still within her. For example, the fact that she now uses her Secret Stone as a magical focus may have prevented it from manifesting.
Does Zelda Turn Back Into A Human? While Mineru does tell Zelda that the act of draconification is irreversible, she's able to become human again after Link defeats Ganondorf. Rauru and Sonia's spirits appear, placing their hands on top of Link's. This appears to amplify the power of his Zonai arm.
Tears of the Kingdom Won't Get A Sequel - But It Might Get A Prequel. A sequel to Tears of the Kingdom is looking increasingly unlikely, but the next Legend of Zelda game could (and should) be a prequel.
Therefore, players can be safe in the knowledge that Diamonds are one of the best items in the game to sell.
It's Best To Keep A Few Diamonds In TOTK
It can certainly be tempting to sell them for a few hundred Rupees, but it's ultimately best to hold onto a few Diamonds in Tears of the Kingdom.
