Dak Prescott Reflects on Pro Bowl Return, CPOTY Nomination, and George Pickens' Impact
SAN FRANCISCO – Dak Prescott's journey to the 2026 Pro Bowl is a testament to his resilience and growth as a quarterback. This marks his fourth Pro Bowl appearance, and it's a special one as he reconnects with familiar faces from his rookie year in 2016.
Prescott's decade-long career has been a rollercoaster, and this Pro Bowl trip allows him to reminisce about his early days in the NFL. He shares, "It's awesome to be back, especially talking to guys like Jared Goff, who was drafted with me, and others who were Pro Bowlers when I first attended. The camaraderie and the opportunity to learn from them are invaluable."
In his early years, Prescott sought guidance from veteran quarterbacks, but now he's become a mentor himself. He enjoys natural conversations with fellow quarterbacks like Jalen Hurts and Bijan Robinson, sharing experiences and growth, particularly focusing on the quarterback position. The 2024 season was challenging for Prescott due to a hamstring injury, but he bounced back strongly in 2025, throwing for 4,552 yards and 30 touchdowns. This outstanding performance earned him a nomination for the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year, a prestigious award. He joins a talented group of nominees, including Stefon Diggs, Aidan Hutchinson, Trevor Lawrence, and Christian McCaffrey.

One of Prescott's new teammates, wide receiver George Pickens, is experiencing the Pro Bowl for the first time. Pickens had an exceptional season and is expected to secure a lucrative contract extension. Prescott is a strong advocate for Pickens' re-signing, considering it a top priority for the Cowboys.
